A new, improved design over the original concept. This side stand relocation kit removes the connection of the side stand to the engine block. We HIGHLY recommend this product for all 950 & 990 Adventure and Super Enduro models. This is by far the BEST solution we have seen to rectify the poor design of the side stand mount from KTM. This design is simple, keeps the side stand in the stock location and eliminates the bolts that go directly into the engine block. A win / win by all accounts.

This kit is very easy to install using the four bolts provided (see installation instructions). This kit is made of 6061 1/4" aluminum and the production version will be anodized black with the BDCW logo tastefully etched into it.
Our design eliminates this connection to the engine case and uses a 1/4" aluminum bracket to secure the side stand, which then bolts to the center stand and skid plate frame.
The advantages of this design over others that are available elsewhere are simple:1. Easy to install with four bolts
2. Keeps the side stand in the stock location
3. You don't have to disassemble the side stand safety switch
4. Compatible with center stand
5. The look is seemless to the bike
6. Helps avoid a potential long walk home or VERY expensive repair bill
7. Compatible with the Black Dog skid plates for both the Adventure and Super Enduro.

If you are NOT running a center stand on your LC8, we now offer a spacer that is used to fill the gap that is normally taken up by the center stand. Please select the "NO CENTER STAND" when ordering.
We feel this product is very cheap insurance to great reduce the possibility of a cracked engine case, which can cost up to $4500 to repair. We run these on all of our 950s and 990s and highly recommend our customers do as well. This side stand relocation kit is an excellent addition to the protection our skid plates offer to the side stand relocation kit. This is another well thought out product that can save you a LONG WALK HOME!!
PLEASE NOTE: This product is NOT a direct bolt-on for Adventure models MANUFACTURED in 2003 or 2004. Please check your bikes DATE OF MANUFACTURE, do not go by the year on the title. Click here for instruction for modifying your bike to fit this product. Modifying the bracket is not a viable option.
